This page is set up to help you effectively use the information contained on this Web site. If you are new to this site, please read the following information, which will give you an overview of the steps involved in identifying wastes, identifying treatment vendors, and scheduling treatment/disposal of wastes.

Reviewing Process Knowledge

Choose this link to review the waste codes for specified containers. This page will identify those waste codes that may be inappropriately assigned.

Determining Appropriate Treatment Vendors

Choose this link if you have a selected waste population and want to determine whether the Broad Spectrum Treatment Initiative can supply the proper treatment capabilities. You will access a description of each waste category for an initial determination and description of the suitable treatment vendor.

Next, use the WAC Comparison Page to allow you to compare the potential vendor's WAC to your specific population needing treatment. You can also use the Vendor Description Page for detailed information on the vendor's treatment facilities and capabilities.

Treatment Disposal Cost Estimate

Once you have determined which vendor is appropriate, contact the appropriate facility contact to develop a cost for the amount of waste to be treated. To obtain a copy of the contract unit costs, please contact the Contract Administrator.

Contract Related Information

When you are confident you want to proceed with treatment by the selected vendor, go to the Vendor and DOE Site Responsibilities Page to find out what the BOAs require of the vendor and sites. This page briefly describes the BOA specification and is not anticipated to add any new requirements to DOE sites for off-site treatment and disposal. If all requirements are acceptable, go to the BOA Access Page for a contact, and go to the Task Order Form Page to obtain proper notification shipping papers.
