Corporate Citizenship Policy
Bechtel Jacobs Company LLC Corporate Citizenship Policy focus is to improve the quality of life in communities where employees live and work, including Anderson, Roane, Loudon, Knox and Blount Counties in East Tennessee. Grants are made to qualifying educational, cultural, civic, and health and welfare organizations. Please note that BJC is no longer accepting grant applications. Focus of Bechtel Jacobs Company Grants A wide variety of organizations fall within the educational, cultural, civic, and health and welfare categories: Educational - Colleges and universities, public school systems, minority organizations, museums, educational foundations, DOE National Science Bowl, local science fairs. Cultural - Arts , music, dance, theater, museums. Civic - Civic clubs, Chambers of Commerce and other business organizations, League of Women Voters, minority organizations, and other organizations that contribute to the general welfare and betterment of life for the community and enhancement of its facilities. Health and Welfare - United Way agencies health care agencies, welfare-to-work programs, emergency assistance groups, housing organizations, victim offender reconciliation programs, youth organizations. As a general rule, grants are not made to sports or university/college athletic programs; religious and sectarian causes, except church-supported hospitals offering services on a non-sectarian basis; foundations or similar "umbrella" organizations such as television/radio stations promoting a fund raising campaign for a charity; political activities; fraternal, veterans, or labor groups.
