Payment can be made ONLY by cash or check (personal checks are accepted).
Cash is NOT accepted for deposits.
Sale items can only be viewed during specified inspection periods.
Items are sold by the lot (single or multiple items).
Bidders must accept all lots awarded to them.
Payment is due upon the award of sale and will be taken at the sale site.
All sales subject to 9.25% sales tax ( 7% State & 2.25% Local).
All items are sold "as-is, where-is" with no guarantee, written or implied,
as to operability, usability, condition, etc. Unless specifically specified otherwise,
all property has successfully passed screening (testing) for radioactivity.
Sale items are available for viewing at defined dates and times
Bidders submit bid including: Lot Number, Bid Amount, Name, Address, and
Phone Number and 20%, of the bid amount, for a deposit
On sale day, at prescribed time, bids are opened and the winning bids are
determined and announced. Bid openings are performed in the presence of multiple
BJC personnel and are open to the public
Winning bidder is notified
Deposits for the unsuccessful bids are returned
Winning bidder makes payment for the balance of the sale amount
Winning bidder must remove their lot(s) within the time defined for that
sale or begin to incur storage fees and eventually the potential loss of the
deposit and items
Spot Bid
Sale items are available for viewing at defined dates and times
Bidders register (at the sale site) and receive a Bidder Number
Bidder fills out a Spot Bid Card (provided at the sale) which contains;
the lot number, the bid, Bidder Number, and signature
The completed Spot Bid Card is into the Bid Box slot with the corresponding
Lot Number
At prescribed time, bids are opened and the winning bids are determined and
announced. Bid openings are performed in the presence of the bidders
Winning bidder is notified
At the conclusion of the bid awards the successful bidders pay the cashier
Winning bidders must remove their lot(s) within the time defined for that
sale or begin to incur storage fees and eventually the potential loss of the
deposit and items
Fixed Price
No pre-inspection of material is permitted-inspection period begins when
sale begins
All items are marked with a pre-determined, non-negotiable price
All items sold on a first-come, first-served basis
Material must be removed immediately after payment
Contract Sales
Contract sales are normally for material which, because of its nature
or condition, has salvage or recycle value only and would not be of interest
to the general public and therefore not be sold on a another type of public
sale
