Bechtel Jacobs Company LLC, (BJC) current operating M & I Contractor on behalf of the U.S. Department of Energy, has possession of a system manufactured for analyzing and treatment of compressed gases.

The TCGRS for sale is located at the East Tennessee Technology Park (ETTP). The TCGRS was previously used for identifying, neutralizing, disposing or the re-containerizing of compressed gases and is available for dismantlement and removal. The TCGRS consists of several skid-mounted units designed to analyze and treat the contents of compressed gas cylinders that can no longer be returned to the cylinder vendor or recycled. It is comprised of: a mechanical skid, cylinder management device (CMD) which is actually a pressure vessel, analytical skid, glove box, reactor tank, scrubber, two ton jib crane, 35' x 40' Rubb tent, flare device, control skid, and other miscellaneous containers.

In addition to neutralizing reactive gases, the facility can also re-containerize gases, flare (burn) flammable gases, and vent noble or inert gases. Analytical capabilities include a gas chromatograph / mass spectrometer and an infrared gas detector with computerized database of over 10,000 gases against which comparisons can be made.

This system is marketed as an "integrated package". Individual pieces will not be sold separately. The system was originally built for DOE in the mid 1990s and was brought to ETTP form Las Alamos in 1997. It has been in service for approximately four years.

The TCGRS will be offered "where is - as is", in the current condition.
